Black and Decker DCM2500 12-Cup Coffee Maker: A Perfect Companion in Coffee making.
I’m really a coffee freak and must have my coffee cup (sometimes pot!) in the mornings. I simply love sipping coffee while I watch news in the morning. My coffee finishes with the news and I get charged up for the day.
I required a coffee maker which could ready my coffee as I wake up each morning. The Black and Decker coffee maker has really impressed me.
DESIGN
The coffee maker comes in white and black colors. The lid is attached on the back and just lifts up, showing up the reservoir of water at the back and a separate reservoir of coffee at the front. The ground holder for coffee easily lifts up to enable me to fill the same without any spilling. The pot (with 12 cup capacity) snuggly sits in between the coffee grounds holder and burner. The clock is placed in the centre to make the time check quite easy. A bright red light is there to indicate the power status. The buttons for hours and minutes are used to set the time and program the required time for brewing.
BREWING TIME
If I for some reason forget to set the coffee maker timer, all I’m required to do is to just press on/off switch only once and my coffee starts brewing. The Black and Decker coffee maker normally takes 8 minutes for brewing 12 coffee cups. This is marvelous time for person like me.
SIZE & QUALITY
This coffee maker has about 18″ height, is about 8′ wide and measures 12′ front to back. This is surely terrific coffee makers for such a low price. I have been using it since a year without any mechanical or other problems.

POURING
It is here that I face some problems, when the pot (12 cups) is filled; I usually loose a cup towards the pot side. Much of the water get’s into the reservoir but some drizzles off the pot’s bottom. No matter how slow or fast you pour, you will have to keep the towel handy. However there is low dribbage as the volume becomes less.
Despite this shortcoming, I love my coffee maker and it’s greatest feature is automatic shut off time. It automatically switches off after two hours of operation.
