Black and Decker DCM2500B – Cheap Coffee Maker Review

This is a review of the Black and Decker DCM2500B coffee maker. I will be covering why this coffee is worth attention and hopefully assisting you in making a little bit more informed decision when buying your next coffee maker.
First let’s talk about the carafe. Unfortunately but not to be totally unexpected, the Black and Decker comes a glass carafe rather than a thermal carafe. This is a bit of a sticking point for me, because I regularly do not drink all the coffee that I brew straight away, and when coffee is left on a hot plate a great deal of the flavor is lost. Not a huge deal and if you are like me, but don’t want to splash on a coffee maker that comes with a thermal carafe, then I would recommend transferring your coffee to a thermos after brewing.
The Black and Decker DCM2500B is very easy to use, it comes with an opening that is wide enough to allow even users with shaky hands to fill the tank with minimal spillage. This has always been an irritation of mine, especially when I buy one of the more expensive coffee makers and en end up having to pour the water very slowly to avoid spillage, and even then I would usually end up with a least some spillage.
The controls on this machine are easy to use and even easier to understand, there shouldn’t be anything there that will flummox even someone with the most basic knowledge of coffee makers.
In summary, this coffee maker is probably for you, if you are not prepared to spend excessive amounts of money on your next machine and don’t feel you need the extra features and functions typically included with high-end coffee makers.
