Bunn STX – Coffee Maker Review

Welcome to this go articles review of the Bunn STX specialty 10-cup Home Coffee Brewer with the Thermal Carafe. Hopefully after reading this review you will be slightly better able to make an accurate decision as to whether this coffee maker is for you or not.
At first glance this looks like a typical thermal carafe coffee maker, but don’t be fooled this machine is for coffee connoisseurs. The coffee available here is truly some of the best quality coffee around outside a coffee shop, and even on a par with coffee shops. The fact that Bunn make a lot of machines that you actually see in coffee shops should go a long way to making you feel more comfortable with the quality on offer here.
The fact that it has a thermal carafe is in my opinion fantastic, there are amazingly still plenty of people out there who dislike thermal carafes, but I truly cannot understand why. When we use the glass carafe and heating plate method of keeping the coffee hot, we will have horrible tasting coffee within minutes of brewing if we don’t drink all of our coffee straight away. With the thermal machines we are getting hot coffee that tastes as fresh as if it had just been brewed hours after the brew cycle has completed.
One issue with the Bunn might be that it has not auto timer function, this while seemingly a big flaw and school boy error from Bunn a company with years of industry experience is of course intentional. The reason that there is no auto timer function is because Bunn know that the best coffee is that made with freshly grinded beans, and so it is for this reason we have no timer… oh and the fact that is can brew a 10 cup pot in less than 3 minutes!
